The Familes and Friends Matinee Series is pleased to celebrate ONE YEAR of bringing some of Chicago's finest songwriters, singers and players to all-ages audiences at Township.
To help us celebrate, Trumpeter James Davis and Friends (aka, the Jazz Dads) will bring the first jazz show to the series. For the first 'set' the players will offer instrument demonstration stations to show how the instruments work; for the second 'set,' the players take the stage to perform as a group.
As always, admission is free and all ages are welcome. Township opens at 11am; music at noon.
Hosted by Thomas Comerford.
James Davis and Friends: James Davis - trumpet; Doug Rosenberg - sax/flute, Tim Stine - guitar, Paul Giallorenzo - piano, Joel Kelsey - bass, Jeremy Cunningham - drums.
